Carey Adams Personal Careers Advice

Before visiting Carey, I was unhappy with my current job and was looking to change my career. Working through Carey's process, we analysed all aspects of my current and previous roles, looked at my personal interests and achievements, both past and present. From this, we established the aspects of these projects and roles I most enjoyed and recognised my strongest skills. Employing Carey's process he was able to advise and guide me on how to most efficiently target my job search, understanding key elements of job descriptions and focusing on the roles that best suited my skills and interests. Once I had found a job offer that interested me, Carey helped me through the process of replying to the job offer, tailoring my CV to meet the needs of the position offered, and successfully negotiating my acceptance of the position. Thanks to Carey's very thorough and professional approach, highlighting skills I would not have considered, I found the confidence to aim for positions I would not have thought within my scope of abilities. It was clear, from the beginning that Carey showed a personal interest in my professional and personal development and in helping me find a role that best suited all aspects of my life.

Carey was a great person to work with. I was looking for advice with a career change and how to frame my teaching skills when applying for jobs beyond the classroom. I worked hard on the tasks he set, even when I wasn't sure where they were leading. Trust me when I say he knows what he's doing. He distills all the information you share with him and guides you brilliantly in the right direction. He doesnt do the work for you but with you. You have to invest in his advice. My confidence soared after working with him. I got interviews and am happy to report I have a new, fulfilling role that I love. I recommend him highly.

Carey was so helpful to me when I decided my CV needed a revamp. He was very patient and insightful. He didn't write my CV for me, instead he gave me the tools and understanding to be able to do it myself. He also gave plenty of tips for cover letters. I now have a CV that will stand out and that truly reflects me, my abilities and my experience. Highly recommend.
