I employed Kate as a doula, my first mistake. Overall she just agreed with my poor unimformed choices (obviously because I was paying her to?!), eventually the conversation led to her 'DoTerra' essential oils and this brought out a totally different side, talk about textbook MLM, of course the relationship quickly declined after this. Total waste of money and definitely trust misplaced. I had hoped to make informed choices, but I wrongly assumed Kate was informed on the matters. I could have paid anyone to just agree with me and tell me how clever I am, and probably for half of the price....

GHOSTED BY MY THERAPIST! [Re-posting from January 2020, as it failed to publish.] I don't like leaving bad reviews, but have given the people involved a more than fair chance to put it right. I felt lucky when I thought I'd found a 'Rolf' technique (myofascial structural integration) therapist in my locality, as I'd been looking in to it for a while. I have severe chronic fatigue, and suffer badly with persistent muscle tension, pain and soreness, migraine, non-refreshing sleep etc. After not having had any outside intervention or help for a long time, I was searching for a myofascial therapist to try to obtain some lasting improvement - beyond the short-term relief osteopathic, chiropractic and massage treatments have been able to offer in the past. 'Rolfing' therapy offers a structured 10 treatment programme, which claims to make permanent adjustments to the body's fascia, each session addressing a different area. I was hopeful for the first time in years, as Martina, my therapist, SEEMED like a caring, competent person when I spoke to her over the phone, so I invested 68 in what I thought was going to be the first of a course of 10 potentially quality of life-changing treatments. Through tiredness, I got my dates mixed up, and had to cancel our 2nd session at short notice. Martina didn't answer the phone, so I left her an apologetic voicemail explaining my reasons for having to cancel, hoping to re-book. She did not return the call. I was worried she hadn't got the message, so I followed it up with another call and then an email, to further apologise and try again to re-appoint. Still no response. Weeks later, after contacting the clinic for the 2nd time, the manager emailed me to casually convey the message that Martina was only seeing a handful of her regular clients due to the virus, and would contact me if she was willing to see me again! I find this hard to believe, as all this took place back in late JANUARY - before Covid-19 had even hit us. If it is the real reason, then why she wouldn't have simply conveyed this to me directly at the time by phone call or email, and even asked for the money for the missed session, if it left her out-of-pocket, I shall never know, nor will I understand why she took my money in the first place, knowing I was desperately in need of help and struggling financially, only to abandon me after the first session. So I am back where I started in January, but 68 poorer and very upset by the way I've been treated. I'm pretty sure that ANY therapist has a duty of care toward their clients, above and beyond the dictates of basic human decency, neither of which has been shown to me by this wholly unprofessional, uncaring woman, or the clinic she works for.
