Lunch menu for 7.50 and kids menu for 5 was good. The kids meals have healthy options. For example, new potatoes and rice as well as the obligatory French fries. For us it was dog and child friendly - both can go inside There are lots of different areas inside so it feels comfortable and quiet. Outside is a nice clean garden which is only negatively affected by the noise from the large road next to the pub. However, little - or even large - ones aren't going to escape because the boundary is very high. I had a 'fruity' curry from the main menu (non-lunch menu day) which was enjoyable but i think the little naan bread was warmed in the microwave rather than oven - it was very hard on the inside. It was a mild and tasty chicken curry. The coffee is typical for this sort of place, which is to say not as nice as a coffee shop. I can't wait till pubs up their game on coffee. We were there over Easter and had some free face painting for the kids and a free Easter egg from a giant Peter rabbit, which was funny for one kid and sightly terrifying for the 4-year old (who takes time to warm up to strangers). But, of course, it was a something that made going there nicer. Kid-friendliness: Kid menu is paper and has drawing activities like a maze.
