Seemingly saved me from a collapsed bathroom ceiling. My boiler (situated in the loft above the bathroom) had a corroded pipe and unbeknownst to us, was leaking. Woke up this morning to water dripping through the light fixture in the bathroom ceiling and a few cracks and water marked damp patches there too. As I discovered it reasonably early in the morning, I sent an email via the websites 'contact us' form rather than disturb his household with a call. Ian got back to me a couple of hours later and by 11.30am, he had been up to review the issue, fix it and give us some advice about on-going maintenance. I think BFF are going to be our plumbers of choice now because of his promptness (he changed his plans to come and look at the problem); how quickly he diagnosed and fixed the problem and just his willingness to advise and help in the future. I won't hesitate to recommend him to others as I wouldn't hesitate to call him to help us out or advise us again. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Added at update to my original review as Ian returned 3 years later (February 2023) to fix a problem with my boiler. Lost pressure several times in 1 day and we arranged for him to fix the problem and complete a service. Unfortunately, neither he nor I had the time to complete the service but it didn't prevent him for visiting for less than 10 minutes to fix the pressure issue. A week later, he called to check that the issue was resolved (it was) and he arranged to visit the following day to complete the service. He arrived as planned and still only insisted on charging me for the service and not the repair. He has made a couple of recommendations to make my boiler more efficient and as soon as I've got the time and cash, I'll make the arrangements for him to implement those changes as he has only given me great advice and service in the 3 years that he's been looking after my boiler and central heating.
