First - like so many, it could have become pretentious, like a typical London suburbia pub.
It hasnt.
It could have been over-developed as it expanded - tacky and plastic. It hasnt. Theres no feel of squeezing in food covers solely for covers sake.
All areas have been sympathetically designed, related to use.
Plenty of room for drinkers, eaters, couples, families, special events, menageries..
It could have been poorly or sparsely staffed. It hasnt been - theyre all a great, friendly, responsive and efficient bunch of happy locals.
It could have been pricey - it isnt. Drink and food prices are reasonable.
Theres a comprehensive and diverse menu to suit all tastes and budgets.
Plus, great parking, lots of running and play space for energetic kids and an instructive online presence.
So, please dont tell anyone about this gem. Itll get overrun and us locals prefer it just like it is!
