I recently bought the PAF pickups & I wasn't disappointed. The pickups are amazing. I wanted to get a vintage tone with my Les Paul & needed to replace the high output potted pickups that I had originally. Monty's PAF's have really helped me achieve my goal, along with having vintage wiring & oil in paper capacitors installed with them. They're not high output pickups, but still enough bite to them for that classic rock tone I was looking for. The clarity is night & day compared to the previous pickups I had. I rarely played around with the volume & tone knobs on the guitar before, but I simply can't help leave them alone since having the Monty's installed, it's like having a totally different guitar. From sweet clear cleans, to gritty classic rock to the famous "woman tone", these pickups covers it all. Even when the coils are split, there isn't a huge drop off in volume & I can pretty much make my Les Paul sound "vintage Tele" like. Not only are they great pickups, but the packaging was a really nice touch with wax seals & personalisation. They were so extravagantly packed I almost felt like I'd committed a crime by opening them! All credit to Matt Gleeson, he really does know his stuff about vintage pickups & gives customers a unique buying experience. I had been looking at a number of "PAF repro" companies & even considered paying almost double for an American made set. I'm glad I stumbled across Monty's, reading numerous highly positive reviews & watching many insightful videos about their pickups. I can (& will) highly recommend Monty's to anyone wanting to get quality vintage tones.

I'm glad have been buying a fantastic sounding 62 strat neck pickup in absolute high end quality. It sounds amazing!!! Thanks a lot to this masterpiece. I'm also impressed by this lovely presentation and personal dedication. Best shop ever

Just received my order of a pickup and wiring loom from Monty's, which was received in very quick time from the UK. Opening the package was a surprising and delightful experience! Not only are the items top quality but the level of care and attention to detail in the unique packaging was second-to-none. You've got yourselves a very happy customer, Monty!
