Walked in and went up stairs where 2 female members of staff were flirting with a male member of staff with an orange hi vis jacket on. There totally ignored me whilst they giggled and played hide and seek. Went downstairs to use self checkout. No staff at all downstairs and no security tags on jeans so Could of walked out without paying. Good job I didn't need any help

Disappointed, went in to buy some new outfits for work the next day only to be told that this store doesn't stock the bigger sizes in-store, I would have to shop online. Shopping online doesn't allow you to feel the fabric or see the style or true fabric colors. Plus you don't take it home with you when you pay for it.

Matalan good value, inexpensive clothing. Stores nice, clean, well laid out. Staff in Cheltenham cheerful and helpful. Issues there clothing really smells. Clearly some chemical sprayed but I've washed trousers twice and they still stink. Also Matalan have gone self check out, no investment like the supermarket, they just turned the screens and swipey things around! Basically we just have to do what staff did! I watched older lady really struggle, plus if u want to pay cash u have to go to the first floor. Are they trying to make life of wheel chair users and mums with pushchairs lives more difficult? They probably have a lift but it's still an inconvenience. Sorry can't find anything positive to offset. Matalan - I didn't feel like a valued customer I feel the store is meeting your needs and there lies road to going bust
