If you want to spend a lot of time with your plumbers then these are the guys to use as since they installed my system I had the pleasure of seeing them a lot. The guys on the ground are nice and are definitely trying their hardest but in short the installation of the system in my house has never consistently worked properly and SW&L have never been able to resolve the issues. Then things started to break and when it became a warranty issue they were about as helpful as a lead parachute insisting that it was my fault as I hadn't serviced the system every year (I had), making up paperwork as they hadn't kept the records their end telling me I had to take the problem up with the manufacturers. In essence zero interest in really helping out. I think if you need to install a new boiler or tap these guys can do it but go for anything more complicated and you may well end up seeing a lot of them post installation. Called out as had an issue with loosing pressure. They took a brief look and saw a buildup of 'gunk' and instantly said it was the heat exchanger and would be 600+ to repair. I called another company for a second opinion who had another look and the fault was actually a valve behind the exchanger. The build up of gunk was a by product of the faulty valve and the exchanger was fine with a good 6-7 years of life left in it. Other company carried out the repair and did a full service for under the callout fee from Shackleton! When I asked Shackleton if there could be a reduction to the callout fee due to the false information and the fact that if I had gone with Shackleton I would be 600+ out of pocket and still have a faulty boiler! They claimed the fee was justified and no offer for a reduction given. Will not use again and would not recommend to anyone at all. Services: Heating system installation, Heating system repair
