My Bed never arrived, I had confirmation of my order a delivery date and a time slot, nothing had to call up to be told the bed is out of stock, I checked when I ordered that it was in stock, but guess what it was in the sale, & now its on the website at the full price. No one called me to let me know it wasnt going to arrive, I asked for a refund was then put back on hold and played music to for another 35mins while they transferred me to another department! The service is absolutely awful, I have been told I have to wait 7 days for a refund as there is only one member of staff who deals with refunds! No email to confirm my refund, no doubt I will have to call again to chase this .. DONT ORDER from Bensons for Beds.

What an absolute joke of a company. First ordered a mattress and bed set in March 2021. Mattress was a defect and it "collapsed" in two places within 3 months. After long wait periods and chasing up, we finally got a replacement. Within 2 month the same thing happened to the replacement mattress. Consultant on phone implied that we were liars and that we weren't turning the mattress. (We were). We FINALLY get approval for another replacement. Surprise, that brand is now unavailable and we had to pay in to buy a new mattress and headboard set as prices had now gone up. This was November last year. The bed was delivered end of Feb but without a headboard. We are now in April and still no sign of a headboard, that they claim was delivered a day after the bed. So here we are with endless chasing up of trying to find the missing headboard, 4.5 months after initial order. Bensons for Beds, get your act together - this service is simply not good enough.

We went to Benson's to choose a new bed. The store manager was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Really great experience with him. However our experience with completing the purchase was poor. We chose 0% finance option, however each time our details were entered the system returned an unknown error in the last step. We were advised to come back another day (as the process can only be completed in person). I phoned ahead before returning to be told it is working (store managers were acting on the advice of their IT support), only to turn up and it failed again, in the same way. I was advised to leave it a few more days, again I was told it was working before I left home, travelled to the store, and it failed again. In the end, 2 extra trips at my expense time/fuel. They eventually completed the finance using another option. I asked for some sort of discount or compensation - the store manager sent a good email to Benson's customer service, but a few days later I received a reply saying there's nothing they can give me and they can only apologise. It's a shame to say it, the store managers we dealt with were great, they did everything they could and were embarrassed and apologetic. The problem lies in their systems, IT support and customer service. All poor. We won't be using Benson's again or recommending it to anyone. In fact I would probably actively recommend to avoid. Update: it's our delivery day. Delivery slot 2-4pm. At 5.40 we got a message saying 'your driver is on his way'. At 6.30 we got an update saying 'delivery status: failed - vehicle breakdown'. If you have any queries call our team'. Which we did, and they are closed for the day. I call BS. 'delivery failed: driver couldn't be arsed' would be more accurate. Or 'delivery failed: driver needed to get home to watch the game'. This is extremely inconvenient. We are sleeping on temporary bedding having got everything ready for the delivery. Poor. If Benson's set a delivery date they need to fulfil that, or don't give us that date in the first place. Reduced rating to 1 star. Failure to keep delivery promise. Failure to put the customer first. It's been a poor experience every step of the way.
