It's been nearly 2 years since we left the flat that Complete Property Group rented us. Living in one of their flats was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. I have a lengthy email I sent to Citizens Advice detailing all the issues, and I have considered just copying and pasting it here. I may do just that in the future. However, just to give a quick outline of what that email contained: 1. Mould throughout the building and flat. 2. Rodents in and around the walls/building. 3. Broken appliances. Some appliances were faulty and caused electric shocks. 4. No hot water. 5. Lack of security. We had so many break-ins. 6. Horribly rude staff - Keith Stukins and Nick Budgen, especially. 7. Lack of empathy when we called asking for help/advice. 8. Not taken seriously ever. 9. Cowboy builders being sent over to 'fix' certain issues. In the time we lived there, however, only one thing was fixed: broken blinds. But the damaged electrical appliances and the broken door locks and the rat running around... they were all left ignored, and we were told numerous times to pretty much get over it and to 'move on'. 10. We had (and still do have) many photos and a video as evidence. 11. We had to throw away a lot of our items due to mould. In the end, my partner and I had to leave our flat and lost a lot of money in the process. We tried taking the situation to court but it simply cost too much and we just wanted to get out. Complete Property Group did email me, claiming they resolved all of our issues. They hadn't. I have no idea how they had the guts to say such a thing. Around 30 issues were found in our flat, and some were extremely serious, and the only thing resolved was some faulty blinds, which they taped together and soon promptly fell to pieces again. They also sent a building manager over who told us the property wasn't fit to live in and advised us to move. That was coming from the actual building manager. When I mentioned this to the team, they simply ignored me and said they couldn't help. It was a strange, nightmarish experience. An awful company and I advise you to avoid them. They were rude and unsympathetic (especially when we had to go to the hospital due to breathing issues caused by the mould). They are the equivalent of cowboy builders in the housing market. The number of people (friends, colleagues, legal professionals) who have told me that I have a genuine case against them is staggering. I do occasionally still consider taking them to court. In summary, an awful company and a rude unsympathetic team that value profit over the customers' health and well-being. Finally, I should add, the landlord wasn't registered, which is a criminal offence. (I found this out after some quick research and investigation.) I'm going to leave reviews elsewhere because nobody should rent from them ever. JP

Used CPG for many years, they are excellent and highly professional in both letting and sales and would highly recommend if looking for local expertise in said areas.

I have been a CPG customer for many years and they have been the best agency I have used in comparison with at least 5-6 others, covering multiple properties, including lettings and sales. Sue, Gemma, Keith, Jack and the rest of the team have always been highly engaging. We have discussed and dealt with the whole gambit of issues, including structural repairs, tenant issues, sale challenges, legal issues, access and equipment. Gemma even sat outside the apartment one afternoon to allow access for a new appliance after numerous failed attempts by the incompetent supplier to deliver! I have spoken to Sue over weekends about emergencies and was largely hands off for a recent sale that Keith completed for me; unusual these days in the current climate of having to drive these things over the line with other agencies. I highly recommend their services for lettings, sales and management and sincerely thank them for all of the work they have done on my behalf over the last 11 years.

When planning to re-furbish our rental property, Sue and Jack made a site visit and gave us very good advice as to the various rental options that we could consider and also comprehensive input as regards the best refurbishment plans. Once completed, Keith prepared the excellent marketing strategy which resulted in a successful letting within one month everything performed to our complete satisfaction.
