Noone in store, got told to sign into machine whilst staff stood by doing nothing, then staff went looking for bits to make up my order. They could have taken order number themselves but no, customer service disappears with automation.

I use to use Screwfix daily for my business, and most of the staff especially Alison are very good, but this new system means that even though I buy my stock online on my laptop before I arrive, I then have to put the code into an ipad in order to get the goods I have already ordered and paid for, before this soulless awful anti-customer service system was brought in, I simply ordered my goods and the staff who know who I am would get my goods and we would have a bit banter and chat and the whole experience was really good and I felt like a valued customer. Sadly this new system has put me right off and I find myself going to Selco and tool station most of the time now. I feel for the staff because they work hard but will likely be replaced by a robot in not too distant future.
