A vibrant and busy pub, food is decent regular pub grub (rather than exceptional) and live music on Fridays. Sports screens throughout which for me is the only negative (subjective I know) so docked a star. Without these it would be my local.

I was there for Sunday lunch with Helen bishop (also reviewed) and to confirm what she said, it was nice surroundings and setting but the food was just not good enough! I paid over 100 for food and drink for 5 of us to be served awful chewy meat very grisly and the waitress didn't even care to take it further... I should have taken it further myself but tried to make the best of it with my family who had traveled from swindon. Also tried charging us for extras we shouldn't have been charged for lol

UPDATE: We have just enjoyed a fantastic complimentary meal with great service at The Tivoli courtesy of the owners, to make up for the problems we previously had. We will now definitely be back again. Rating updated from 1 to 5 stars. Thank you Tivoli. ORIGINAL REVIEW, NOW SUPERFLUOUS: Absolutely appalling business to deal with. I booked online on Saturday for Sunday lunch and received a confirmation email. Less than 1 hour before our booking it was cancelled by the pub. I called their bookings number and was told that it wasnt their fault and the booking systems were always confirming tables which were not available. The unprofessional man on the phone basically didnt care that the booking was cancelled and said I should understand as it wasnt their fault. I say it was definitely their fault as they are listing on Google and other booking sites. They should not be on these sites if they cannot honour the bookings. The staff member I spoke to could not have cared less that wed been let down. I urge everyone to give this unprofessional establishment a very wide berth.
