Visited today to pick up some pieces of pottery from a recent auction. The staff there were friendly and helpful for the most part - one lady found me a box and some bubble wrap to wrap my items up. Little things like that are what customers remember and get them coming back. It is something that staff should take cognisance of. Bit dismayed there were no toilets available inside and the nearest, pointed out to me was about 500 yards down the road. For all that I have since asked for a condition report (24/11/2022) from them of a lot containing a group of ceramics - Im not sure who did the report and additional photographs but the report was superb as were the additional photographs. I buy from many auctions up and down the country and because a lot of the auctions are up to 4 hours away I rely on the auction houses for these reports to be accurate. This was first class - commendable and an upgrade in my initial rating of four stars - toilets I can find elsewhere honesty, accuracy and thoroughness I cant and those attributes count for more!!!

The lady that works there (blonde, probably in her 50-60s) is so rude and arrogant! They put a sign that says every Thursday there is a free valuation. I made an appointment & came there to bring my things to ask the value and she looked down on me. Saying these can easily bought in charity shops. I asked whats the difference between edwardian and victorian and she said,Oh I just know when I see it. I came out without any valuation, never felt so small!! What a %$#. I will never come again thats for sure. I start my own antique business now. So wont ever come here for valuation. So dont bother spend your money here or just simply come here. So rude!
