I must say I have never attended a service at All Saint's, or if I have it was long ago and I forget the details. I understand it is one of the two High Anglican churches left in Cheltenham, which has a definite Evangelical/Post-Charismatic hegemony. If you are from the more catholic end of the Church of England, you will find a warm welcome here. I actually popped in for a talk, and was astonished by the beauty of the interior. The sanctuary is stunning, and made me think of the 19th century slum ritualists who believed people who could not grasp intellectual theology could be aesthetically led to the Divine by beauty, mystery and wonder. I would imagine a service here would be very beautiful and I'm interested to attend. The building was a little chilly and I probably should have dressed with that in mind but I received a warm welcome, a cheerful and pleasant place. I will return! Amusingly in the 1950s there was a short lived vampire story associated with the grounds; probably a reflection of the nationwide hysteria about horror comics, but also perhaps because the building is adjacent to the former garden of St. Anne's House, where the famous Cheltenham Ghost was said to manifest!
