A brilliant, kind, and knowledgeable doctor. I went inside after several positive recommendations from family and friends. I had a problem with repetitive wrist strains after playing the piano for 15+ years and working on a desk, where I was advised by western medicine to take paracetamols and physiotherapy to subside the pain. At 23 years old, I didn't want to take paracetamol everyday (forever) so I looked for alternatives and met Dr Lu. Within 6 months, we saw progress and the aches became less noticeable after each visit. He would provide a recovery plan and advised me on what techniques I could do to massage and further ease the pain. His work meant I can now continue playing complicated piano pieces and do mundane activities without the consequence of aftermaths pain. I would highly recommend seeing him and to trust the process!

I have been seeing Dr. Lu for approximately 6 months for a complicated medical issue. Long story short I basically took a gigantic wack from some kind of infection and ended up really quite disabled; breathing problems, stomach problems, sleep problems, heart problems etc. Western medicine, Cheltenham Gen and Gloucester Royal, did lots of tests which showed various clinically verifiable issues but they couldnt find a unifying diagnosis and while they did give me some medicine, inhalers, nasal sprays, beta blockers etc their efficacy was really quite limited, a sad state of affairs imho. Hence I turned to the Chinese Medical Centre. I did this contemporaneously, ie whilst also taking the western medicine. Progress was initially slow but I stuck with it. The key is to follow the treatment protocol, slowly but surly. My treatment included acupuncture, herbal medicine, breathing advice, and exercise advice. Tbh I really didnt take to the herbal side of things, at first, and I skipped a lot of the doses. Perhaps that delayed things. However, once I started following Dr Lus protocol to the letter I began to notice a positive response. The thing i learned is that the treatments work best together, not in isolation; for example acupuncture plus herbal medicine beats just acupuncture alone. But of course it does depend on your particular condition. My symptoms have improved significantly since visiting this centre and Im happy with the results. Much thx to you Dr Lu.
