SMC Cars and Commercials

Wouldn't give them any stars if at all possible,I bought a Nissan qashqai from them last July,I visited them a few times to pick the car up and it was never ready when they said it was,a few weeks after I picked the car up it developed a knocking noise from the rear end and a shudder,I took the car back to them where they just pulled out the rear heat shield as it was not attached and couldn't be re-attached without welding and was told that ithe car needed a wheel bearing that wasn't covered by their warranty so I went to my own garage to have it changed,I then was told by my garage that it needed a new tyre a ball joint and track arm rod,after I had this done the car still shuddered so I took it back to SMC and told them what was going on what I had had to replace the mechanic at SMC said it needed a drive shaft and linkages but was not covered by their warranty ,after several heated conversations with SMC they agreed to change the drive shaft by this time I had had the car for just over three months since then I have had to change all the breaks a break disk a break caliper as it had fallen apart,a new battery the linkages and there is still problems with it knocking ,the air bag sensor ,the shocks,and code as long as your arm,I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY ONE OR PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN,WHEN YOU SPEND 7000 ON A CAR YOU EXPECT IT TO BE FIT FOR PURPOSE

What a complete joke of a company! I travelled over 2 hours to view a car that I was told was ready to be brought. Having arrived at the garage, I was politely asked to go to their repair centre.... Well, what an experience. The exhaust had a hole in it and was held on by zip ties. The central locking didn't work, the airbag light was on..... the list is endless... apparently this is how they "run their business"... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!

I recently purchased a Mercedes SLK from SMC. Great team and great service, a very smooth transaction, the team were very polite and friendly and always available to answer any questions both before and after the purchase. Highly recommend this company, really great all round experience and service.
