Working in the critical engineering space we complete time & security sensitive tenders and quotations on a daily basis. Working with global organisations with locations across the UK, we have a partially geographically distributed team, and with the appearance of COVID-19 nearly everyone in our administration team is now working from home. Previously quotes were prepared using simple word documents, but we noticed over time that multiple copies appeared, with different brand colours, layouts, certificate and insurance information and more. We also had issues with our quote approval process. Using a banding system our quotes require approval from more senior members of staff as the price of the quote increases. This has been increasingly difficult to police, using standard emails. It was decided we needed to centralise and standardise our quote creation and authorisation procedures. We looked at many cloud based SAAS applications, for which none completely fitted the bill and features that are key to us not being available. We had worked with HPT before on some other projects, so we approached them for a consultation. Working with them, we created a comprehensive specification for the project with them suggesting things that we had not considered and would provide us with a much improved solution to our own ideas. The process of development for our initial launch was around 8 weeks, with them allowing us beta access for testing and feedback slightly earlier. We were hugely pleased with the result and the tool has quickly become a key part of our business. Quotes are now completely standardised, authorisation processes are fully automated, quotes allow contributor access for other departments on multi-disciplinary quotes, full audit trail change/revision tracking and we additionally have a full automated approval process. We continue to expand and modify the platform on a regular basis adding more features on a regular basis with the full support of HPT. For any kind of web/mobile based software project, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our company operates in the critical services engineering sector, working with some of the world's leading financial institutions, healthcare organisations and datacenters. We currently use Enterprise software system for running most of the company operations. Whilst this has been a great package for the company, it lacks in some very specific areas and modifications and additions to the platform are hugely expensive. After exploring the software market and almost giving up based on cost, we were recommended HPT. After an initial briefing meeting and quote which gave us huge confidence, we commissioned them to build a supply chain management portal to automate a previously manual process to maintain our strict Quality assurance policies. The previous manual process was a very time consuming manual process across perhaps 1000+ suppliers which are constantly changing. Our supply chain management process is now fully automated with minimal input needed from our suppliers team. Our new solution has also allowed us to further develop our supplier reporting by obtaining in depth company data via an API with institutions such as Companies house & HMRC. The system has already saved us on many occasions by notifying us of insolvent or uninsured suppliers and preventing orders which could have placed us at legal or financial risk. We continue to improve and innovate the platform with HPT and have enjoyed the entire process of design, build. HPT has shown utmost professionalism at all times and continues to be a great partner. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From start to finish the service and technical knowledge were exemplary, guiding us through a relatively complex process with comfort and ease. We now have a system that does exactly what we want, with no compromises to our existing business processes and with links to our existing software systems. HPT continues to support and innovate the platform with us, ensuring that we are always one step ahead of the market. We recently integrated the Google maps API enabling us to automatically provide route maps and directions for our in-field sales agents.
