Subway

Rude, inconsiderate staff who only focus on themselves. Have to repeat order multiple times as they cant stop talking between themselves. Very impatient and if you dare take any longer than 10 seconds to pay they will be tutting. I find it very difficult to find a reason to return.

Potato crispers were soggy and disappointing, pre cooked and microwaved? Not going to be crispy. Like subways rolls but avoid these.

There are quite a few Subway franchises in Chelmsford and once lockdown ended we decided to try them all, this one has to rate the highest for walk in service, preorder and pick up and online delivery, the quality was consistent with filling and freshness, unlike some that with delivery you end up with stale or just dried out subs that have minimal fillings and sauce. The only reason that it lost one star was that several members of staff thought that wearing a face mask on your chin and not covering mouth or nose was acceptable, we did just leave without purchasing anything on two occasions. But that being said we had 10-15 visits/deliveries with no problems and didn't catch anything. If you just want a drive/walk to pick up a sub instead of a sit down while shopping then this is the best one to head for, and last but not least 90% of the staff are really friendly and helpful. Thanks to them for making this Subway the best in Chelmsford.
