Really pleased with the way the pub has been updated but still keeping the original character of the place. Great menu choices. Friendly staff. This is a dog friendly Pub which is good for us. They even have a menu for dogs! I'll be back (as Arnie would say) Wheelchair accessibility: The pub has easy access for wheelchair users.

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast at Ego at the Running Mare whilst in Essex. Busy place with plenty of atmosphere. Drinks arrived quickly but waited a long time for our main courses. It was well worth the wait, though. Roast beef tender and Yorkshire puddings are almost as big as your plate! Creme brulee was slightly split but still a good texture. Couldn't fault the team and service provided....
