Came back here for the first time after a few years to celebrate my Dad's birthday. It was a Wednesday evening with the table booked for 6pm. There were four of us and upon arrival, the atmosphere was slightly lacking as it had just opened so we were the only customers. However, as more people arrived and the addition of great background music (mainly 80s which was great for me!), it felt really relaxing. Two of us went for the set menu (22.95 for 2 courses and 25.95 for 3 courses) whilst the remainder went for A-la-carte. All dishes were very tasty and served in a reasonable time. We had a variety of drinks and the pinot grigio and the shiraz went down a treat. We appreciated the little touches for my Dad which included a wine bottle on the table decorated in West Ham references and musical notes (they had asked in advance what kind of things he is interested in) and at the end a free shot of limoncello! I'd also like to praise Harry who was our waiter. He was a really friendly and funny guy who had banter with my Dad which helped make his night feel extra special. This is a lovely, cosy restaurant in Chelmsford and I hope it continues to do well.
