If you enjoy long waits on the phone and rubbish online services, then this is the place for you

Appointment system and phones are awful. No privacy at reception so everyone can hear about your ailments. Not one Dr in there actually cares about their patients and you are panned off to a "specialist" (who are equally uncaring) or given painkillers or antidepressants as a "cure". Mostly printed out on a prescription slip before you have sat down. Awful practice but I suspect the majority are just the same these days. The NHS is dead.

I have been a patient here since Covid times, so don't know what it was like before. My experience has been mostly positive, the health care assistants are fantastic at doing blood tests to the point I feel so relaxed and comfortable as other places struggle to access my veins. Some of the doctors are fantastic, Dr Owen in particular is very attentive and thorough. She listens and is kind. Others can be a bit rushed and not keen on doing anything. I have found the receptionists to be mostly very helpful, the only difficult part is being able to book an appointment! Since the online appointment booking has come back I can book an appointment for 2 weeks away. But it's difficult still to get a more urgent appointment, as when you ring in the morning you are often number 50 in the queue. At other gp surgeries I've been at they have allowed patients to log on the website from 7am to book same day appointments, so it would be incredibly helpful if Chelmer Medical Partnership did the same.
