Love the vibe. Tucked away but clearly reputable warmly welcoming (smiley team) and a really interesting menu with light dishes, salads and the like. I had the fish finger bun, ok but a bit dry. Id go back and try something else. My companion enjoyed the imaginative chicken ceasar salad.

THIS PLACE BELONGS IN THE MICHELIN GUIDE ! Went to eat here for the time this evening and was wowed ! The cocktails are exceptional possibly one of the best made old fashions I've ever had. I was served by several members of staff all of which could not do enough to help, the food is that of a level beyond which that Chelmsford has seen, cool, quirky, innovative, beautiful presented yet purposeful. The 12 hour slow braized lamb and the crispy pork belly with xo fried rice were my absolute picks of the evening but having eaten Harissa marinated olives and the house focaccia with marmite butter that screamed enjoy me on my own or with a cold glass of whatever the hell you like I don't know why I expected anything less. Congratulations to the team here they're doing truly grate things .... I will be returning very soon !

Incredible food and outstanding service! Quality produce and perfectly made dishes! The cocktails are on point! The only little issue is the noise level in the restaurant - couldnt barely talk to each other. Otherwise great experience!
