My wife has shared the full review we have of Apache below, please do read this before you think about booking Apache for your event. Without a doubt the most un-professional company I have worked with, I work in major events all over the UK. If we'd have known what we know now we would not have booked Apache - unfortuantely they were great until we paid the deposit and then we were stuck with them. Luckily we had my team, made up of 5 men who helped pull this off - without our experiance and hands on attitude this would not have come together. Interesting that they have removed the abilty to leave a Facebook review on their Facebook page.

Carrying on from a previous review - Electric & Heating Supply. The generator ran out of fuel during the day, whilst we were half way through our meal (around 5.30pm). Luckily one of our team had already noted that there wasn't any spare fuel and we'd got some ready. If that had not been the case, we'd have been well and truly stuffed for the rest of the evening. These were supposed to have been supplied with fuel. Apache knew what we needed to fuel, we werent over powering it by any means. Electrical supply to the kitchen it looked ample on Friday, however, once we plugged things in on Saturday we soon established only one of the extensions they had provided worked. We had planned to put tea and coffee out for our guests from the get go given it was chilly, but the fryer was needed for canapes and we feared plugging it a hot water urn at the same time would overload the only extension we had which would have been a bigger problem. I'd spoken with Apache about electric supply and what we needed - we still had to fetch two more extension cables from our house, note that it wasnt one of these which wasnt working as mentioned above. The heaters, all along a second heater if needed would be provided free of charge. James tried to get me to pay for a second heater the Friday before our wedding, we agreed to pay half, and funnily enough I haven't received an invoice for this. One heater which Apache provided came with a bottle of gas which was 1/3 full that was it, no back up. Our guys again luckily clocked this on Friday and went to get two bottles of gas to back this up at our expense, which to no surprise was needed. The fire pit - was provided with a few logs, they were certainly not smokeless. Nowhere near were enough logs provided, again we had to source our own. There were no marshmallows either. Previous to an email, I was ensured a fire extinguisher would be left with the fire pit. There was no fire extinguisher! Out of everything, I think this is what I'm most astounded by. If anything had have happened we'd have been helpless. Never mind their insurance must have been invalid. Customer Service Apache were brilliant in the beginning, once the deposit was paid things went downhill. James and his teams attitude on the set up days was horrendous; every single thing seemed to be an effort for them, their attitude was terrible, extremely un-professional and rude. Im extremely suspicious how theyve managed to get the few 5 star reviews and testimonials they have online, it's worth noting that at least one of them is a supplier that they work with. Their Instagram and social media images may look the part, but don't be fooled like we were, a few of their images on Instagram are from our own wedding, and include our props not theirs. Another couple, without the support we have would have had an absolute disaster of a wedding, unless you have a team of hard workers willing to work until late evening the day before your wedding when you should be relaxing, access to fuel for generators and heaters don't bother booking Apache Weddings. We spent a lot of money with the company, and it was certainly not reflected in the services we received. As their names suggests, they really were a bunch of cowboys. I have contacted Apache with all of the above points plus others, this is just a short example of their work, but to no surprise have had no reply. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to know anymore.

If you've time for a read, carry on before investing in Apache for your special occasion... A disaster from once we paid the deposit to the finish. James was quick to respond to our initial queries and came for a site visit within a couple of weeks, we paid our deposit and all was good. That's all the positive feedback we have for the company. Many times I googled 'Apache Events in hope that they were still in business, as the customer service was terrible, often taking over a couple of weeks to deal with the smallest of questions, not even answering the phone. Once whilst we were in the area, we even went to look for their office to ensure ourselves they were genuine we couldnt find it. Delivery & set up. We were ensured delivery and set up would be weather dependant, but usually the Tuesday/Wednesday before our Saturday wedding, to allow plenty of time - we had a big set up of 4 x giant hat tipis, plus the nimbus and a catering tent etc. James and his team finally turned up on the Thursday to set up, this was the wettest day of the week. But I breathed a sigh of relief that they'd turned up. They promise you a full day before your event to allow for decorations/flower displays etc. This wasn't the case in our experience; we were there until 10pm Friday night, the day before our wedding finishing up. Luckily both myself and husband work in events, and we had a brilliant team helping us, without a doubt if it was left to Apache we wouldn't have been ready for the wedding day, we built the fire pit, we built the stage, we arranged the Chesterfield sofas, we put up the festoon lighting - which wasn't supplied on the large Shepherd hooks we paid for but 2x2inch wooden poles - the lights were originally fixed on with electrical tape, resulting in our own team re-doing these. Set up of the tipis was incredibly poor; the canvas of the tipis hadnt been lined up correctly with the supporting poles. The straps which would have helped stop everything flapping around in the wind hadnt and couldnt be used because the canvas was twisted out of position. The canvas was dirty and leaked in various places - in this occasion over our bar. On Saturday morning one of our ushers had to secure some canvas (by climbing onto the tipi roof) which had blown away overnight. James then came over after a phone call, I cannot believe it is not standard practise for Apache to look after their own tipis the morning of a wedding, especially given any bad weather. It was blamed on the "way the wind was blowing". The tipis were simply unsafe for us and our guests. This was the same story in the catering tent - a 6x3m gazebo, if you have your own use it and don't pay to hire Apaches. None of the straps on the canvas had been used to attach it to the metal frame (it had only been pegged into the grass) meaning the sides were flapping around in the wind knocking plates from tables and getting much too close to the flames on the ovens. There were also huge gaps where the tent joined the tipi meaning gusts of wind were blowing into the tipi and catering tent making both food and guests cold. Apache state that they clean the flooring between every tipi wedding, when the floor went down there was eucalyptus all over the floor clearly not cleaned from a previous wedding. This wasnt an issue but another example of false advertising. The flooring wasnt pulled into place correctly and was a trip hazard. TBC
