Finally got around to visiting this mill with my sister first time here for both of us
So glad it opened up again to the public today well worth a visit if you haven't been yet
You don't need to be a National Trust member to visit either
The 2 guides who did the tour was brilliant I honestly don't know how they can remember all the history of it as I know I couldn't remember it
( Sorry I feel rude now as I never asked my guides names as I was to busy taking pictures but I did hear every word they said during the 1 hour tour )
The tour lasted a hour to my surprise considering there new opening post for August 2021 on there site said there were half hour slots on there first opening since lockdown 2020
I'm not complaining as it was well worth the visit & I got my money worth being an N T member
You can pay by cash or card if your not a national trust member
Free parking to the front of the building there were disabled car park spaces also our front of the building
But you can park outside of & in the grounds of St Mary's Church or the neither village Hall for free
The Mill is a very interesting building & both guides have full & up to date information
On our tour while with our guides
It's actually bigger than it looks on the inside than the outside
There a moat at the back of the mill that can be seen if you up the stairs inside the mill
I'm forever looking for stone Mason Mark's or Mark's with dates engraved on any brick work or wood work inside or outside of any place I visit or on any window panes
Please take a visit & see for yourselves
