Rooms: Bigger than our bedroom at home and really nicely decorated. Bed was a king and very comfy. There were even lights inside that were handy at night time. Nearby activities: The gorge obviously is well worth a visit. Great views from the top and the bottom. Gough's cave was amazing. There is a lovely pub nearby called The Gardeners Arms that did great food. Walkability: A footpath at the top of the site takes you to the main street through Cheddar in about 15 minutes. You can also use it to get to the top of Jacob's Ladder where you can use the Lookout Tower and follow the cliff-top walk. Food & drinks: We had a hamper with cheese, crackers, cider and water on arrival. We also had some pre-paid for BBQ and breakfast food. It was all excellent quality. The tea and coffee was a local brand and was lovely.

Found this place through Dog Holidays and I'm so pleased we did!! We took Cheddar the Corgi to Cheddar and she had a fab time; she was made to feel so welcome by host Paula, with her own bed in our lovely huge lotus belle tent, massive water bowls available, and a big field for running around in. Town just 20 minutes dawdle away, and access to the clifftop walk without having to pace up Jacob's Ladder (it's still steep mind!). Love it all. Looking forward to going back.
