Dreadful after sales. We had Shutters fitted in August 2022 and by January 2023 less then 6 months all the frames started to split. I emailed Absolute Shutters explaining what had happened and sent numerous photos, I received an email back just from the pictures I had sent saying we had not managed the condensation on are windows and this was water damage? There is only myself and my wife who live here we get minimal condensation which is regularly wiped off. There is no water at all on the Shutters, eventually they sent out there fitter James who when he looked was surprised why they had gone like this and agreed with my wife that this was unusual. We dont know what he said when he returned to his office but we just got the same reply that this was water damage. There reply was that they could replace the frames with plastic at a small cost or replace with like for like as a good will gesture? But this would be us admitting that this was water damage? , which we know this wasnt the case. When we had the guy from Absolute Shutters to measure up originally we asked the question about moisture his reply was this would not be an issue we had mid range shutters fitted hard wood costing nearly 3000 and as they state in there broacher built to last a lifetime, he said we only fit plastic in wet rooms ie bathroom and kitchen, otherwise we would not of gone ahead with this order. I have had a joiner and another Shutter company to look at these frames and they all said this is NOT due to moisture this is substandard material and is a fault in the timber. Plus poorly fitted. These shutters are stored in containers for weeks on end we had to wait from initially ordering in April to getting them fitted in August about 16 weeks. All we wanted is them just to admit that these were faulty frames and just replace them and not blaming us after all we paid a lot of money and this is very poor customer service so I would definitely not recommend this company.

Great company that fitted shutters in our front bay window and regular front window, November 2022. Excellent communication and courtesy from first visit and consultation, through regular text messages as my order was processed, then final fit from the team who left the house totally tidy and the shutters looking great.
