I rented a space for over 2 years and had to address a catalog of issues within that time, some being repeat issues. Head office were very helpful and proactive but I feel these things should never really have needed to be taken beyond center managers.
On leaving Bizspace Cheadle I was keen to move on and leave without leaving a review. Head office resolved several of the issues by then. However I faced yet another frustration which simply felt like one too many.
Just over a hundred pounds was deducted from my deposit refund without explanation and which I had to chase for as to why. I was finally explained to that it had been taken for an automatic mail redirection service contained within the contract signed.
I had not been asked for a forwarding address to redirect anything to and, in the time I worked out of the building, I did not have mail sent there to need a redirection service for.
I was also told that I would have been able to opt out at the time of signing had I wanted to.
The clause read: "You will automatically be entered into a new mail forwarding Agreement with Your BizSpace Centre, on our standard terms prevailing at the time, for 3 months. Pricing can be obtained from Your BizSpace Centre"
Whilst I accept that I clearly signed and therefore agreed to those terms, I personally feel that the option to opt out should have been made much clearer as well as giving a clearer indication of what costs would likely be. As a new business just starting out, for which Bizspace markets itself as being supportive of, clear terms would have been appreciated.
This final issue with Bizspace, whilst concerning a small sum in the grand scheme of things, has felt unnecessary and disappointing.
