DO NOT USE: Andrew Miley took a bit under 2000 deposit in two instalments but never did the work. After months of delays, excuses and poor communication I lost faith he would do the work and asked for my deposit back. He did not return it. I then won a county court judgement against him for my deposit but bailiffs were not successful recovering the money. Service: Window installation

Andrew Miley recently installed new sash window sills in our house. We paid for the sills to be made with sapele (hardwood) but Miley supplied the sills using a softwood. This only came to light recently when the sills were to be painted. We contacted the supplier to find out what Miley had actually ordered. Turns out he ordered them in softwood. We are now waiting for Miley to turn up and replace the sills, which I think is extremely unlikely. I think legal action will probably be the end result of this. Avoid at all costs.

AVOID! We were so excited to renovate our first house and that excitement ended up in so much stress and anxiety because of Andrew Miley. when the windows were due to fitted we had excuse after excuse with failed fitting dates. We were more than reasonable and gave him so many chances to fit the windows. When asked for the number of the supplier we found it extremely difficult to contact Andrew so we have no proof that the windows were ordered. (Other comments from customers have said they did manage to call the supplier and no order had been placed) I know a lot of customers over the years have experienced the same. We had to take Legal action to retrieve our money. There was already 2 other court claims made against him. We won and still have not received all our money back. We dont want anyone else to have go through this.

Andrew had installed some windows at my house previously and I needed some ground floor windows replacing. Andrew had taken the deposit for the supply and installation of some casement and sash windows two years ago. Throughout these two years it has been a real struggle to get him to communicate with clear dates for installation. He continuously claimed that the window frames had been ordered but weren't ready, then moved onto claims that there were delays with manufacturing. If it wasn't the windows frames it was a delay due to the glass supplier. It was just excuse after excuse when he would eventually respond. Eventually a date was given end of last year and Andrew requested an access scaffold which I ordered and was installed. Begining of this year Andrew as he was doing throughout the previous year stopped communicating, wouldn't answer my calls, texts and emails. I contacted his supplier who confirmed that no orders had been placed at all. Likewise the glass supplier had not recived any orders. All this time Andrew had continously lied and cited excuses that the suppliers were delayed when in fact he himself had not placed any orders even though he had taken a deposit and asked for a scaffold. Summer this year after hours and hours of my time spent chasing Andrew we came to an agreement that I will place orders direct with the window manufacturers and the glass supplier and I would pay them directly. Since the supply of the materials Andrew continues to give dates and then cancels them at short notice or just doesn't communicate. I ring and text him but get no reply. The cost of these windows from the original date of the deposit has increased by approx 50% over all. This could have been avoided if orders were placed when Andrew took the deposit. Working with Andrew has been extremely difficult to say the least and despite assurances that the work will happen, it doesn't. He is unreliable eventhough you have agreed a date/timescale he will not stick to it which inconveniences you as you have to book holidays or access then he just cancels or just doesn't turn up and doesn't call or text or answer calls. I know from the reviews and from conversation with others that customers have experienced the same issues that I have encountered.
