People may not know that Barclays is the worst bank in Europe for funding fossil fuels, putting more money into them than any other! Their customer service ratings and climate impact are terrible. Would do minus stars if I could!

The worst banking experience I have ever had. Do not open an account with Barclays unless you have absolutely no other choice (and you probably have other choices, especially now with all the online banks that provide a much better service). Unfortunately, I had been a Barclays customer for about 13 years when Barclays decided to close my account without informing me. Of course, they said they had sent me letters etc. but obviously I did not receive anything, you will read countless stories like this on internet. Now Barclays holds several thousand pounds of my money despite denying that account still exists, and they have put in place a kafkaesque system to make sure it takes me months or years to collect my money. Their methods are inappropriate, their processes are inadequate, and it ends up costing you money, potentially a lot of money. Use at your own risk.
