Heading north to in pursuit of my affairs and requiring an overnight stop, having tethered and washed, then coming upon a public house called The Ship wherein the gordy folk were about their inebriations, the very concept of such a title as public became a total mystery to me a stranger and traveller whose tale and purpose was unsought whilst the assembly continued in their gluttony, much in the style of tapas but lacking the wit or manners of such a noble custom, yours being the only place unfulfilled. No doubt such an establishment might benefit from voluntary delicensing, preferring instead to assign a few of its members to form a private club in such a style as is commonplace in many regions of Italy, wherein may, by way of contrast, be found much hospitality.
