I am a regular visitor of this lovely, friendly, clean care home. The manager and all her staff are fantastic. It is like home from home with a lot of social activities. Food choice is fantastic good wholesome meals every single day. Carers are very caring, compassionate and very friendly. One of the best care home around chatteris and March area. I would give this five stars.

I care for my mum at home and was looking for respite so that I can take a holiday. The Gables was recommended by a friend who also worked there for a short time, I called in one day, and was greeted very politely yet informally, (which I appreciated). I was invited to look round having had a chat about my mother's situation and the type of care the home offers, to both residents and short term respite residents. I was pleased with all aspects, finding staff welcoming and friendly, helpful and caring towards residents. I was shown around both upstairs and down, and had a brief chat with the "Banjo entertainer" who was just leaving, having been in the lounge with all residents who wished to participate. Rooms all seemed fresh, clean, carpets chairs and all equipment looked in excellent condition, with a rolling refurbishment programme in place. Some rooms are en-suite others are not but there are several wet rooms and bathrooms and toilets conveniently placed on all wings and floors of the building. There seemed space to move and breath, with a good ambient temperature and a healthy flow of fresh air without draughts on the day of my visit approx 3.15 - 4,00 pm. The manager was out at the time but called me back later the same day. I think my mother could be well cared for here, despite her inevitable reluctance to go anywhereelse!!
