I would strongly advise against going to this surgery if you have anything more serious than a cold. Two doctors over 3 appointments and 2 phone consultations failed to spot acute appendicitis which caused unnecessary complications when it finally perforated sending me to hospital for 2 weeks followed by several weeks of recovery afterwards. Furthermore, staff (doctors) were rude and condescending when giving advise over the phone, even with full knowledge of previous tests and conditions. I appreciate the strain the NHS is under, but situations like this only serve to intensify the pressure on A&E and other services by failing to diagnose and prevent serious issues. Correct and timely diagnosis would have alleviated pressure on the nursing staff and also freed up my bed far more quickly and cost significantly less in post surgery care. As a counter point to this, the staff at Homerton Hospital were outstanding throughout.
