Re: Crownhill Garden Furniture c/o Warmerdam & Co - Terrible service and goods not received. Would give zero stars if possible. Over 1600 of garden furniture ordered and paid for in full in February on the basis of delivery being late May/early June. When it got to late May/early June and I hadn't heard anything I contacted Crownhill Garden Furniture via e-mail to enquire when my furniture would be delivered and after four days with no response and several unanswered phone calls over those four days, I commented on a positive review on Facebook asking for contact and followed this up with a private Facebook message. 'The boss' (I assume Lee Russell) from Crownhill replied to my private message and saw my comment asking for contact as a negative review and in response to that, they were cancelling my order. They also stated they couldnt control what people post in relation to positive reviews - the customer who posted had stated they ordered exactly the same set as me in April and received it at the end of May?!!! In a nutshell, This person didnt like being told privately on Facebook messenger that I would seek advice from Trading Standards if they didnt respond to the emails I had sent in relation to the lack of communication and goods not received. The reply I received from 'The Boss' at Crownhill Garden Furniture to the private Facebook message was abrupt and totally unprofessional. He told me my order was 400 miles away and imminent (despite no reply to my earlier emails) but that as Id 'left a negative review' (the comment on the Facebook post which went no further than asking someone from Crownhill to contact me) he had cancelled my order and instructed a refund to be issued. I was then conveniently blocked by Crownhill Garden Furniture and Lee Russell from replying! I was then eventually contacted by someone called Debbie from Crownhill who was helpful but who told me she had just been talking about me to her boss and he was cancelling my order because he did not like being threatened with Trading Standards. She also told me there were some delays with orders and couldnt say if my order was imminent - a complete contradiction to the Facebook message I received from the boss telling me it was imminent! Suspicious and very poor service to say the least. I prefer to support small businesses but I am now awaiting a refund after theyve sat on over 1600 of my money since February and have ordered instead from John Lewis who are delivering a much better furniture set this week. Customers consulting with Trading Standards is inevitable if youre running a business and cant deal with or ignore people wondering where their goods are and whose hard earned money has been sitting in your own bank account for months while your customer has nothing to show for it! Other negative reviews on Trust Pilot and Google reporting a poor attitude in response to customer enquiries have been commented on in the same abrupt, cocky manner as my own query by Crownhill. Lee Russell/Crownhill Garden Furniture may respond to this negative review, but no response, polite or otherwise, can justify the awful service I received personally.
