We used Acorn Tutors upon numerous recommendations during the unfortunate COVID-19 lockdown of 2020. Once it was clear that the Year 6 SATS were not going ahead we utilised Tom's experience and professionalism for twice weekly Zoom lessons for our son in preparation for starting Year 7 at a new much larger secondary school. Tom's professionalism and 'buddy' approach chats really helped him, and ourselves, through a difficult and frustrating time. Whenever they finished their lessons our son was full of confidence and spoke very highly of his methods. He never once complained before a scheduled lesson, so that alone is testament to Tom's services. Thanks again. We will definitely call on Acorn Tutors services going forward. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Tom Hyland at Acorn Tutors. My son who has Asperger syndrome struggles with school but we have seen an improvement academically since Tom has tutored our son. He makes studying fun and takes the time to teach in a way that my son enjoys. My son enjoys studying with Mr Hyland and I would not use anyone else.

Tom from Acorn Tutors has proven to be an inspired choice to help our son with his maths. He is friendly, extremely competent and has an ability to keep a child engaged. We have seen a significant improvement in our son's results and have no hesitation in highly recommending him as a Tutor.
