Some staff are helpful others are really not at all. The prices on the shelf NEVER match when you get to the till and they never give you a proper itemised receipt. Not enough staff serving or you can hear or see someone hiding in the stock room when a queue forms. And when I did get to the till the women couldn't use it properly and promptly said it was my fault. They clearly have no idea what they are doing in the post office either. Not my local anymore, too much stress and anger.

I gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero. While some staff members are helpful, there are some who are very rude & unhelpful. I was shouted out of the shop by a member of staff while trying to pay a bill at the P.O. counter because they didn't know their job & instead blamed me. I was offered no apology once I had proven myself to have been correct. One staff member, an older woman with dark curly hair & glasses makes you feel like you are bothering her while she looks down her nose at you. She's just obnoxious. Can't wait for a new shop to open in the vicinity.

Since this changed from Steve's shop to cost cutter, it has managed to increase stock levels hugely, so that now they not only have more areas of actual shop for stocking up, but they have more new items. This includes a coffee machine, a slush puppy machine, a pastie oven, bigger fridges at the back, and after a refit they have the tills arranged better so that the post office is not stuck in the way of everything and the two tills are next to each other. All in all prices are lower than they were, stock levels are higher and the are bigger ranges so much better. It is still more expensive than if you leave the village and go to a supermarket but then that is expected.
