Visited this railway landmark after seeing the viaduct on TV. Wasnt disappointed as its a lovely structure to see up close. Brick built and with internal arches to each pier. You can walk most of the Sian and both sides. There are 32 arches spanning the Colne River Valley. The Historic Railway Station at Chappel is just a short walk away. Unfortunately I didnt visit the Railway Station at the time of my visit to the Viaduct. There are WW2 gun emplacements to see there and what I believe are tank defences which are concrete square blocks. A childrens play park and car parking very close plus the added benefit of a lovely country pub.
