At first the staff who dealt with me seemed helpful and understanding of my situation regarding needing part time work around childcare. But it soon changed. There was very little help in finding an appropriate job. The last time I had officially applied for a new job was when the internet was in it's infancy and I wrote the application by hand. This job centre gave no help in learning about how the online world works in terms of seeking work. One lady was completely rude to me accusing me of not looking for work even though I was able to show all that I was doing. She was very discriminatory towards me as a man needing to do childcare because my wife was in full time work. She was completely out of order. I never returned.

The contact details are incorrect for the phone number, the staff don't seem to give a flip about helping you find work, but yet want to take credit when you have actually have found it, as if to justify there own job. And when you do see them they Pam you off on to an external company to suposidly help you find work, when in fact they just waste you valuable time, when you could be looking for work, quite frankly it a waste of time, they would be better just automating the jobcentre with scanning machines, as I fail to see how the human interaction is justified, as no support was being offered, such as making cliants aware of specific jobs... The only help was being sent to a jobs fair and told to take a CV to hand out, but yet when you arrive there all the employer's say that you can only apply on line, so you have wasted a day at a job fair not applying for jobs, when you could have been at home applying for work.

Shocking! They dont even help you find work, all they suggest is going to a job fair to hand out CVs and when you ask how do I need to show Im looking for work they just say oh next meeting in a weeks time just log on the computer and show you know go to use find a job service.
