        I would definitely not recommend doing their hearing test. At the branch at Chapel-en-le-Frith the hearing test is done in a little room that also has a noisy machine in it (a very noisy fan) so completely unsuitable and intended to make as many people get referred as possible to maximise their commission. The optician I saw was very professional and nice. But when I politely refused to buy their expensive glasses in favour of going elsewhere, the sales assistant told me I shouldn't have my eye test at Scrivens unless I was buying my glasses there. She was bang out of order. I ended up buying my glasses online. Anyway, I probably will go back to Scrivens but I won't do their dodgy hearing test and I don't care what they say, I won't buy their overpriced glasses.

        Great opticians..my 95 Yr old mother sat on her glasses and popped the lens out. Called in today and the opticians kindly mended them. Thankyou..

        After nearly a year my frames broke, I took them into the Chapel en Le Frith shop to see what could be done. Within two days they had replaced my glasses with new frames-the same ones all free of charge-I have collected them this morning-excellent customer service ***********
