The owner (Helen) is akin to a certain crustacean from Spongebob Squarepants. Her sly, money-grubbing tactics do a disservice to her amazing, professional, genuine employees who possess integrity and appreciate their loyal clients. She however, throws her own employees under the bus when she is challenged on trying to dishonestly charge more than advertised / agreed. And she is well aware of what she's doing as friends experienced the exact same numerous times over the years, yet the website price list was only amended very recently. Clearly she knew there would be customers who would not challenge or question the extra charges in order to avoid confrontation/awkwardness post haircut and she took advantage of this to get more money where she could. If the omission was an honest mistake then a) the price list should've been amended a very, very long time ago (years ago) when you first became aware of it and b) you don't then make it the customer's problem (you simply sort it out afterwards with your team to ensure the "mistake" doesn't happen again.)
