The Family Meal

If youre looking for a private chef to cook you up a scrumptious feast, Ian is your man! We booked a team weekend away for 18, and wanted something a little different than going to a restaurant or a takeout. Were so glad we chose Ian! He was fast and easy to communicate with, created a wonderful menu to suit our budget and preferences, turned up on time to our holiday home and was a pleasure to be around. Super friendly and he created us a Mexican Fiesta that we all devoured. Tacos, churro cheesecake, sweet potato wedges, and so much more! It was all fresh and tasted amazing. Heres a bit of what we had: Marinated chicken, grilled and pulled, with yoghurt & chermoula spices Seabass ceviche with tomato, black olive, coriander and lime juice Crispy spiced cauliflower with paprika, cumin, pumpkin seeds Roasted sweet potatoes with maple syrup, chipotle and creme fraiche I mean, sounds so good right!? Highly recommend Ian if youre looking for fresh and wonderful food. If were ever in the area again, well know who well be booking for dinner! And the best thing? Table was all prepped and we didnt have to worry about any tidying up! It was all done for us, and a much better service and experience than going out for a meal. All the stars from our team! Wish we could have Ian cook for us all the time!

Ian is an absolute hero and super chef! Ian (and Toby) catered at our wedding party for 250ish people cooking asado lamb (whole lambs cooked over fire outside!). It was unbelievably delicious and the salads and flatbreads/wraps were all very very tasty!!! All our friends and family fed back how scrummy it was too! The whole experience was fab, he put the menu together super speedily and communication was great throughout. He knew exactly what we were after and there wasnt a stressful moment! Service was always with a smile and enthusiasm was second to none! Thank you Ian and team!

We were delighted with the whole experience from Ian (and Toby) at The Family Meal. The menu was innovative and everyone loved it, especially as it also catered for all requirements. We were celebrating an 18th birthday with 20 people in our garden and the food, and who catered was a very important part of the event. The open fire cooking makes for such a fabulous interaction as well as great flavour. I could not recommend The Family Meal highly enough and if we ever cater for another event we will certainly be using them.

Ian is an utter star. Amazing chef. Recently used for a family meal. He went above and beyond in all respects. If you are after a chef to cook for an occasion I cannot recommend enough. Food choice and quality was amazing!

Ian catered a family lunch to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary at our home. He was wonderful - chatting to guests and kids and serving up a delicious fish & veggie lunch for 18 people. Id highly recommend!
