Purchased a Saab 9-3 from Nick at lovely cars 3 weeks ago. Upon inspection, the car seemed clean and well looked after. After a quick drive, nothing obvious seemed wrong with the car, I made an offer 75 below the asking price as there was no proof that the Cambelt had been done within the service history. Nick then advised me he could no longer sell me the car after me making an offer. We got past that, and after my trusted mechanic has inspected the car, he has advised me of the following work that needs to be carried out. the car needs: a new alternator pulley, the flywheel is near the end of its life and is making an awful noise, the EML is on the dash with a fault code for the swirl flap actuator and the egr was loose on the car causing fumes to come into the cab as it was leaking quiet badly. I have since spoke to Nick and advised that the car was advertised to come with 3 months warranty but according to him this is not the case and didn't reply back to the listed problems and a simple question asking if he is willing to do anything about it. Not the service advertised whatsoever, and as you can imagine, I'm not happy having to foot a 500 repair bill when this should be covered by warranty that was advertised on the listing of the car.
