Bill has a level of patience that is most remarkable. He is unique in his teaching style in that; he is so encouraging which gives me the impetus to keep pushing ahead. Bill certainly does not hug my lessons, but allow for expression, especially when there is a degree of pessimism. By the time I am finished my saxophone lesson, I feel that what I have learnt seems tangible and rewarding. If ever you are in doubt about starting saxophone lessons, I would highly recommend Bill. His teaching style is conducive for learning, as he makes the sessions fun and all his explanations and demonstrations are clear, simple and deliberate. This makes learning nd independent practice enjoyable!

Bill is an excellent teacher. He has taught my daughter flute from grade 1 to grade 8, saxophone up to grade 6 (currently) and now even clarinet. He is an accomplished musician and teacher. My daughter has become accomplished both technically and musically. She has also learned to appreciate different styles of music through his teaching method. Bill is one who will push in order to empower you to step up to the next level of playing. As an extra treat, he can sometimes be heard playing duets. I cannot recommend Bill highly enough.

I came across Bill as a performer (brilliant - definitely worth catching him at Googlies or Jazz at St Ants!!) and particularly loved his tone so I was delighted to find out that he gives lessons! He is patient and great at explaining and communicating complex (to me!) information. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and only wish my music teachers at school had been as engaging and motivating!! Lessons take place in his home and having met his lovely wife and children it is a very safe environment. Bill is a great teacher and a thoroughly nice bloke to boot! I would recommend him very highly.
