Food was 1st class. Calamari starter was crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Main course steak was cooked to perfection ( rare to medium) the pepper sauce was pungent, spicy and creamy, chock full of pepper corns. Apple pie and ice cream for dessert looked home made and tasted delicious. The pastry had a crumbly buttery texture, individual slices of apple ( not pulp) gently seasoned. The creamy, cold ice cream creating a wonderful contrast to the hot pie. The staff were attentive and informed. A lovely meal with two friends put big smiles on all three faces.
