Been to Horton so many times over the years food always gorgeous and always a treat. Took family yesterday and in all honestly didnt think we would get in on bank holiday but it was early and quiet and we were accommodated. Left very disappointed. Staff were nice but food and the prices just l leave a bit of a sting. I did tell her about the steak yet her reply was well 2 more people have had it with no complains and maybe its just the way you like it. She then said how she would never order a steak from a pub anyway and what do people expect its not Miller and Carter. She said this nice and was just finding common ground but maybe not best thing to say. Should of just taken feedback. Food was ok, curry was defo out of a jar but ok. The steak was absolutely awful so cheap and cooked badly. Husband couldnt eat it. Chunky chips so full of fat. Chef definitely cooking stuff different. Other bits were nice. Muscles were great and skinny chips ok. Bill was 103. We had 3 mains and a kids meal. When we looked they charged 5.95 for 2 tiny scoops of ice cream each for kids. 2.95 for a glass of lemonade. Also wine was 27 a bottle Serves me right for not checking menu before ordering. Absolutely dont mind paying for good food but left feeling quite peeved. I wont be back anytime soon.

Excellent food and the steak pie is to die for and is home made fantastic pub and staff are brilliant
