It has took me a while to write this review after my child Left this setting but after speaking with other parents who experienced similar dissatisfaction I feel it is important to share. On the open day, everything was great, I felt reassured and felt our needs would be adhered to but after paying our first instalment of fees, we were then getting chased by Gemma Arooj and Melissa for funds that we had already paid. They were relentless in their pursuit for funds that they already and it caused me severe distraction, distress and loss of income due to the amount of phone calls I received . I was accused of being involved in an altercation and being aggressive when I told them to check their books before harassing me again. Once they found my claims to be genuine there was No apology or attempt to reconcile the conflict created and it turned out that they actually owed me money. Another occasion my son went into nursery with some sunglasses on and the member r of staff (Melissa) who greeted him said oh well dont you look like a cool rapper this morning, our own little JayZ.. while Im sure nothing was meant by this , I raised concerns about profiling my son as a rapper just because of his skin colour. I assume a Caucasian child would have encountered cool dude chat or something. The staff didnt acknowledge my concerns and again I felt let down by these comments. Another issue was that the nursery lost an expensive coat of my sons and said they would replace it but due to the fact that this nursery was not accommodating my son had to leave and they refused to give us the money for the coat as agreed because he has was leaving the setting. When I wanted to discuss this , head office were not reachable in fact they sent me a rude letter stating how I had caused distress to the staff without even considering what their staff were doing. All in all this was a terrible experience and I had to remove my son from there which meant unsettling him and caused disruption in our family. I would not recommend this nursery for any parents (but particularly BAME families) who want active input into their childs development because all these lot are bothered about is making their books balance and shying away from responsibility to cover their own backs. I have also kept in contacts with other parents who left the setting for similar reasons and it is clear that there is a problem with racial equality here. Understaffed and undertrained if you ask me!!!! Hopefully some of these issues have been resolved since we left. Absolute disgrace!!
