I had a very bad experience with this company. They were providing Void Property Security to an empty building that I purchased. I called them and asked for a quote to keep the site secured exactly as it was, the quote was expensive but I went with it for ease. Two weeks later I was, at the property and a separate security company came to remove the heras fencing, I got VPS on the phone and they said that this was not included in the quote, they said I could rehire the fencing at a cost of 80 per week, I then spoke to the fencing company and they agreed to sell me the fencing for 200 as they had already made good money out of the job after 2 years in situ! VPS were trying to force me into paying them more or leave the property insecure, it felt like I was being forced into it. Low and behold a few weeks later VPS were on the phone saying that they had mis quoted me and I was not paying for all the security shutters and doors, I was apparently paying for less than half, they demanded a further 1000 for a few weeks rental, they said they would remove their screens and shutters within 24 hours if I did not pay, again trying to blackmail me into paying. They admitted it was their mistake but refused to compromise despite having had thousands of pounds in rental over the previous 2 years or so. In the end I told them to remove their equipment and refund me the 8 weeks that I had paid for but would not be using, they came and removed their shutters (even though if would have made commercial sense for them the leave them for a few weeks and keep my money)!! The shutters and screens were removed, I installed my own security at a cost of 150 for timber and screws, it look me a day. This saved me hundreds of pounds and actually I had less trouble with intruders once I had done my thing. I chased my refund 8 times to no avail, threatened them with court 3 times, they kept promising to refund but kept failing, eventually I received my refund some 3 months later. In summary VPS are a bunch of crooks, they intimitade you and harass you, it's almost a protection racket where they try to get extra money of you or leave your property vulnerable to arson attacks etc. Avoid VPS, there must be better companies out there offering Void Property Security Services.
