Firwood replaces our drive with a resin drive and did a large job renovating our back garden. The job was expensive but good quality. EDITED TO REPLY TO HIS RESPONSE BELOW: Since we have brought the issue up with Lee, he has not mentioned the sub base once, apart from on this review. If he had bothered to come back and look at the driveway, he would realise that this has got absolutely nothing to do with the sub base. The very top layer of resin is crumbling and wearing away. Its not cracking or moving as it would be if the sub base was moving. He also said at the time of laying that the sub base was uneven (as in not flat so wouldnt look great), so he would have to use more resin to disguise this. There were no mentioned issues with the concrete itself. If he believed that the sub base was the issue, then why would he agree to come back to look at the driveway, and just continually not turn up? Instead, he would have just said that was the issue and ignored us. We have all of the previous messages from him, both before laying and after, and are now going ahead to pursue him in court for this matter. Please please do not use this company! I can see he has now had another review with the exact same issue. PREVIOUS REVIEW I would have recommended this company until recently as our driveway looked great when first laid. After just 3 months of being laid our driveway started to crumble away in areas. We contacted Lee about this in June. He was more than happy to come to have a look, or so he said! We've contacted him around 20 times now, messages, phone calls etc. He keeps saying he will come and never does! More than 3 months on and he hasn't made 5 minutes to come and have a look. We first had Firwood Resin to replace and extend our drive in August 2020. We were so pleased with the finished work that we recommended the Company to my mother and father who also had a replacement drive done. In addition numerous passers-by have commented on our drive and even knocked on our door asking for details of the company that did it, which we have willingly and gladly provided as we have been very pleased with their work. So much so we had Firwood Resin back in March 2022 to remodel our back garden, which included hard and soft landscaping. We wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Firwood Resin to anybody and would add the team are so personable, helpful and try their upmost to satisfy their clients.
