I had a flat roof, guttering, facia and sofit done. I spoke with him and mentioned about how i needed felt support tray and ventilation as my felt was sagging inside sofits. No felt support or ventilation was fitted by the so called professional roofers and as a consequence it condensed and leaked into a freshly plasterboarded room. Also no insulation or ventilation was fitted into flat roof so in all a total waste of money. The black guttering fitted had a white end cap which is still on over a year later. Ive had another roofer come and he is shocked by the poor standard of work, below recommended building standards. Avoid at all costs unless you want to waste your money. They were messaged and said they would come and assess damage and work but didn't bother coming. In response to the response from the owner which is filled with lies i have attached pictures which clearly show NO eaves support tray was fitted as suggested. This was spoken about during the quote and i actually requested this as i was aware of the underfelt condition. I find it funny that my new contractor is able to fit above facia ventilation, however these suggest there was no room (Which you can see from the picture there is room if a narrower (or cut down) facia board is fitted. The leak was clearly caused by water running down the felt onto the sofit board which (due to no felt support tray being fitted) then leaked into the flat room void. Far more water than condensation as the timbers were literally dripping we as seen in the picturet!!! This is the view of a different contractor and confirmed my own view! Also why on earth would i add insulation if the flat roof i paid for was constructed to current building regulations??! I even asked if it would be a cold or warm roof construction you were doing (why would i ask if i was insulating it and paying for it?!) In summary: NO FELT SUPPORT TRAY FITTED AS REQUESTED AND STATED IN REPLAY!! NO VENTILATION FITTED WHICH WAS ALSO REQUESTED DUE TO CONDENSATION CONCERNS Steve, i feel it is appropriate people are aware of the substandard work to prevent others facing the same. If the work was done to the correct standard (building regs and as requested by myself) then the review would have been positive. Instead of blaming others for discrediting your company, you should look at the standard of work provided. If a tray had been fitted then clearly the water would have run into the gutter system as designed and not onto the sofit and flat roof void area.

Excellent first class service from Vertex Rooflines. Requested a quote from Steve to repair my partners leaking roof around the chimney, he came round the next day give us a quote and agreed to start and complete the work the following week. True to his word the work was completed as promised, Lee, the guy that did all the work was clearly passionate about his work repointed all the chimney all new flashing took pictures before the start, during and after completion explaining everything at all stages. Top quality work, totally happy with the work so much so that I've requested work for my own house. If you want a top quality job done and done right the first time, at a good price Vertex Rooflinings Ltd are the ones to trust. Thanks Steve best regards Helen and Shaun Service: Roof repair
