I have worked at Casterbridge manor for four years, in that time i have had a steady progression with my career here. The home, director and manager are very supportive both in work and personal needs. I have always been treated with respect, any issues i have every had have been resolved quickly and regular checks ins to make sure i am happy with the resolution. I started here as a carer and after a person accident I could no longer use the equipment needed to help hoist residents, I didn't want to leave as enjoyed my time here. After a discussion with my manager and director I was offered a position on the housekeeping team, shortly after that I was asked if I would like to manage the housekeeping team. I had been doing that for 2 years when I felt like I needed a little more to challenge myself, Again i spoke to both manager and director, we created a role (Home & events coordinator) that works well for me and the home meaning I get to show case other talents too, such as planning fates and performance. Recently that position has changed a little more to include sensory sessions within the home for residents that need it. My wages work monthly and I have a great annual leave entailment, I'm paid on time each month, with my payslip arriving at the same time. Any queries are quickly answered or dealt with. I couldn't ask for more from my time here and hope it continues for many years to come. I have attached some photos of our fun days here that I have planned.
