I competed the Mumtobe course and my partner attended 2 of the sessions. He found is really helpful to see a birth and to practice the relaxation techniques. He felt It gave him something to do on the day and we discussed my worries and my expectations from him on the day
I listened to the tracks every day and it made me really look forward to giving birth. So many people tell you their negative experience that you need time every day to focus on YOUR experience and your baby and to push other people's thoughts away. On the day when the contractions were really close together but my cervix was not very open I put the track on and it calmed me and made me not focus on where I was in the labour but focus on meeting my baby and taking it as it came. I had a wonderful calm waterbirth and if we decided to have another baby I would definitely complete a refresher course.
Thank you Bex! Xx

I looked forward to our weekly sessions and loved everything about it, from the hypno techniques to the facts and videos Bex shared with us, I actually ended up looking forward to giving birth, something I never ever believed would happen!!
I often contacted Bex in between our weekly meets for various reasons, she was always helpful even on the occasions when I just wanted to rant, she was there to listen :)
Bex and the course were a definite positive factor in the truly wonderful experience I had giving birth to my wonderful baby boy, without them the situation would have been very different.
Bex even helped with some of the issues we had with the baby after he was born, and was once again there to listen to me rant!
I still speak to Bex now, and if anything crops up that I'm not sure about, she is the first person that comes into my mind to ask, she really is an expert with anything baby related.
After many years of saying I would never go though labour again, my baby is 3mths old and I'm already thinking about the next, this is honestly due to Bex and the Wise Hippo course, I'll be booking my 'refresher' Course in the very near future

Was very sceptical when I started, but my wife wanted to try it and I thought anything that can help her would be for the best. I expected a bunch of rubbish and a very impractical "belief system" on how there will be no pain and every woman will laugh her way through the pregnancy. Even though there is a lot of self belief and mind conditioning for the "right words to use", it is nothing like I expected. The course try's to remind you that women have been doing this for century's without medical intervention, and doesn't suggest that you don't have any medical assistance if you need it, but gives you loads of options to remind you that it is your birth and you are in control. The calming techniques used were helpful and practical.
From a Father's point of view, I had no idea what to expect and men haven't been playing an active role in births for that many years, so was't too sure who to ask for first had experience and practical advise. The course helped, it was still a bloody shock though, not going to lie, but I was less useless and had an idea of what to do.
